Ananda Marga Primary School
The first school at Uma Nivas started in 1978 in a small mud hut in Khatanga Village. For two decades it is crammed in the Rarh Hostel where about 50 children from remote areas live. This school of 140 children from Kindergarten to class 4 will shift by 2020 to its new building under construction now.
We give great importance to Early Childhood education. With a good foundation children can truly blossom. The new building will support our educational aims as a child-friendly learning environment with creative methodology and hands-on teacher training.
You can make a difference
You can be part of a decent future of many children and families. We build on their natural love of learning and education is the key to their future well-being.
This school will have the capacity for 300 students in two shifts. It is a 17,000 sqf building at the cost of US $10/sqf. It is 38% finished as of Nov. 2018. Funds still needed for its completion are US $ 115,700 . Estimated opening is in 2020, Thanks to our friends and supporters for their generous contributions to the construction work.
We are still fundraising to complete the building.
We invite our visitors to bring picture books, colours and educational material.
