The Inspiration

Shrii Prabhat Rainjan Sarkar gave the blueprint for Uma Nivas within the global headquarters of Ananda Nagar of Ananda Marga, the spiritual and social mission. He envisioned women to  be active managers of their own self-development and care for their families and communities.
The Philosophy

Women are mothers who care equally for all and value peace and prosperity in their homes as well as in their communities. When their dignity and rightful place in society is restored they contribute a great deal to the drive for a healthy society.
 The Teamwork

Uma Nivas projects are administered by sisters of Ananda Marga along with women from the community. The projects are set up as 'homes' where daily routine of chores and work is interspersed with songs, meditation and creative activities.
